Evaluative services include:
Conducting informal observations, performance assessments (ABLLS), diagnostic checklists, and positive behavior support plans.
- Informal observation - Hourly sessions observing child's behaviors and skills then developing recommendations for programming. May be conducted in settings other than The Einstein Academy such as home, day care, grandparents house, etc.
- Performance assessment utilizing the Assessment of Basic Language and Learning Skills (ABLLS) - Hourly sessions evaluating or updating skills.
- Diagnostic Checklist - 1 hour session utilizing the GARS (Gilliam Autism Rating Scale).
Independent sessions of one-on-one instruction include:
4 to 30 hours a week of services utilizing direct instruction, natural environment teaching, and discrete trials to teach behaviors and skills as outlined in the child's individual program.
Day learning program includes:
6 hours of school services from 8:30 am to 2:30 pm every day. An individualized program is tailored to meet specific learning needs through one-on-one instruction utilizing the ABLLS.
Social skills classes include:
Hourly sessions for higher functioning individuals who will benefit from integration with typical peers.
Informational workshops include:
Hourly parent trainings and home trainings, half day and all day professional trainings about autism, ABA, VB, TEACCH, Social Skills, Mainstreaming, and many other related topics.
Playdates include:
Hourly sessions in which children with autism are given opportunities to play with typical peers.
Individual sessions of academic instruction include:
Hourly sessions of instruction in the academic areas of math, reading, and language arts.
Parent and Caregiver Training includes:
Hourly sessions of instruction on implementing behavior interventions designed specifically for their child.
Mandatory trainings are required for parents and caregivers
Children need to carry over their newly learned skills to the home and community environments, so parents and caregivers are provided training and support on specific techniques that are working with their child.
Parent Library includes:
Operating hours: 8:00am – 4:30pm Monday through Friday
Parents are welcome to come in, relax, and research
Books, DVD’s, videos, and audio tapes are available for review
Parent/Caregiver Conferences includes:
meetings conducted on a consistent basis to discuss the long term goals, the short term objectives, progress, special areas of consideration and issues of concern.
Attendance is mandatory
Additional clinical services include: speech and language therapy, occupational therapy, physical therapy, and BCBA consultant, Laura Wherry. |
